前一陣子我被阿凡達的配樂專輯版本搞得有點亂，花了點時間才搞懂大部分專輯的內容與定位，所以在這裡稍微介紹一下目前我已知的版本。
首先就是官方授權推出的商業販售版本：AVATAR Music From The Motion Picture(December 15, 2009)。

這張專輯最沒有疑問，因為是官方授權正式推出的，也是最容易方便取得的配樂專輯。不過就如專輯標題所述，這張專輯收錄的並不是完整版的電影配樂，僅是將部分精華擷取彙整到這張專輯中。但是這張專輯已經提供了大部分樂迷足夠多的聆聽樂趣了。
很快的，基於官方版本的原本內容又推出了一個比較稀有的Deluxe Edition(April 19, 2010)。

從Track List很容易就可以發現Deluxe Edition其實只是在第一個商業版本的基礎上再加上Track.15～Track.20的Bonus Track。
不過，這兩張專輯都還只是Music From The Motion Picture而已，真正的重頭戲將在第三張出現的專輯開始登場。
第三張開始的專輯都不是官方授權的商業販售版本，僅在網路上流傳或是能在拍賣網站上購得。

因為我目前完全找不到任何網路流傳的版本，所以無法對這張專輯內容作出任何評論。只針對一點提出來，就是本專輯封面雖寫著Complete Motion Picture Score，但是我目前看到的拍賣者所寫的標題都是用Recording Sessions，不太明白其中的原由。
有興趣的人可以買一張來試看看，拍賣者有貼出包裝內容的照片，也註明這專輯不是CD-R燒錄，CD封面似乎是拍賣者自製的。

嚴格來說，這張專輯才是第一張真正的Complete Score，幾乎的完整收錄電影中所使用的配樂，除了主題曲"I See You"和一首配樂""Eyes Open""。但對樂迷來說這已經是一張非常值得的專輯了。不過本專輯是專用於推廣，即使在拍賣網站上也是非常稀有的存在。
有謠言說，這套專輯是James Horner為了奧斯卡獎而作的。
本來以為到3CD版本推出已經是終點站了。但是，很快的又出現一個5CD的版本，來源未知，僅在網路上流傳。

從收錄的曲目與標題來看，多半可以得知這個版本是甚麼了。沒錯，這張5CD的專輯很有可能就是James Horner的工作版本。整張專輯零零總總收錄了97個曲目，長達4小時51分鐘的配樂，包含了許多最終未使用的配樂版本。
本來以為到了5CD的Collector's Definitive Edition應該是最後了，沒想到在寫這篇整理報告邊查資料的時候，又發現了一個新版本：6CD的Collector's Definitive Edition。

除了已知封面有多種之外，從曲目列表大致推斷，這版本應該是5CD版再加上第6張CD內所收錄的預告片配樂。
到了這種6CD的收錄等級，我想沒幾部電影有這種本事出到這樣誇張的收錄內容，應該也不會再有7CD之類的版本出現了吧～

我是在找關於各配樂版本之間差異與判別問題時發現的，這裡整理很多關於阿凡達的資訊，也包含電影配樂各版本的比較，不過不是所有版本他都有整理到就是了。
看來是有人在收集才會一直出吧。
